Almond Butter and Cocoa Truffles

Almond butter and Cocoa Truffles - get inspired by this recipe and make your chocolate treats at home. Enjoy and indulge in a healthy sweet treat at the same time.

INGREDIENTS:

60 grams 100% pure chocolate (If unavailable, use 85% pure chocolate)

3 tbsp almond milk (Alternatively, use cow's milk)

2 tbsp almond butter

1 tbsp coconut sugar (You can use stevia, birch sugar, or crushed dates)

A dash of sea salt

8 roasted almonds

Coating:

2 tbsp unsweetened pure cocoa powder

A dash of ground cinnamon

1 tbsp coconut sugar

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk and chocolate (about half a chocolate bar). Heat at low power until the chocolate melts.

2. Add your chosen sweetener, a pinch of salt, and mix.

3. Add the almond butter and mix well. If the cocoa is still warm, it will be much easier to blend everything.

4. Once you have a moldable paste, shape the mixture into balls and place an almond or hazelnut inside each one. (Ideally, they should be already roasted).

5. Prepare the coating mixture in another bowl.

6. Coat each ball and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

7. Place each truffle in a small truffle paper cup, on a tray, or in a box – serve them however you prefer.

They are perfect for coffee time or desserts. Enjoy!
